Herpes Skin Infection

Herpes viral skin infection is a contagious infection of the skin. It is caused by Herpes simplex virus type 1 which causes oral sores or Herpes simplex virus type 2 which is responsible for the formation of genital sores. The latter is a cause of worry for the combat sportspersons like MMA and BJJ athletes. A boom of herpes is quite high at a place where these people train or fight  due to the skin-to-skin contact. Perhaps the reason why it is also known by names like “wrestler’s herpes” or “mat pox”.
